Melissa Bowers, MD

Melissa Bowers was born in Queens, NY and grew up in Melville, NY. She completed her undergraduate at the University of Delaware earning a BA in Biology in 1995. She continued her education at the State University of New York - Roswell Park Cancer Institute Division and earned a MS in Pathology in 1998. Then she attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY and earned her DO degree in 2001. Dr. Melissa Bowers completed her Residency training in Pediatrics at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2004. She is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and has been in practice for 15 years-practicing both in urban and rural areas. Her professional interests are asthma, nutrition, and dermatology.

Melissa Bowers loves to travel and explore National Parks with her husband and two sons. She enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and canoeing. Dr. Melissa Bowers is also an active volunteer in BSA Scouts and children’s sports. She also volunteers at the local mission which provides food and services to people in need.
